Scientists in Utah are discovering how spider silk can be useful outside of web-making. Bulldog Press reporter Amaia Horyna documented the efforts of JM graduate Danielle Gaztambide at Utah State to harness the biocompatible properties of spider silk.

More than 307 million people visited national parks in 2015, according to statistics released by the NPS, breaking its previous record of 292.8 million set in 2014. If Zion National Park in Utah is any indication, attendance at the nation’s sixth most popular park is on pace to be at an all-time high again this year. The Bulldog Press visited the park to find out the impact that all of these visitors are having on this fragile ecosystem.
